NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Yankees fans are bracing for a rough ride next season when the team plays the Houston Astros next season, after the Texas team acquired six-time All-Star pitcher Zack Greinke from the Arizona Diamonbacks on Wednesday ahead of the trading deadline.
The Astros confirmed the trade on Wednesday afternoon, with a photo of Greinke posted on Twitter, which read, "Welcome to Houston."
Greinke was in New York Wednesday, as the Diamondbacks played the Yankees.
The Astros acquired Greinke from Arizona in exchange for four minor league players: top pitching prospect J.B. Bukauskas, pitcher Corbin Martin, first baseman Seth Beer and infielder Joshua Rojas.
Yankees fans took to Twitter once word of the trade broke.
"@Yankees just sat there and watched their toughest opponent in the AL go out and add Zack Greinke to their already dominant rotation and did absolutely nothing about it #MLBTradeDeadline," read one tweet.
