NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Bernie Sanders is heading home.
The Brooklyn-born independent Vermont senator, who has announced he will run in the 2020 presidential election, will hold the first rally of his campaign at Brooklyn College Saturday morning.
Sanders was slated to hold his kickoff rally in Burlington, Vermont this weekend, but it was moved to Brooklyn because of inclement weather in his home state this weekend.
"On Saturday I'm going back to Brooklyn, where I was born and raised, for the first rally of our campaign," Sanders tweete. "Let's show Trump and the powerful special interests what they're up against."
