NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Bernie Sanders, who dropped out of the Democratic 2020 presidential race last week, endorsed Joe Biden Monday afternoon.
"We've got to make Trump a one-term president and we need you in the White House," Sanders, an independent Vermont senator, said during a livestream with the former vice president.
He continued, "Today I am asking all Americans -- I'm asking every Democrat, I'm asking every independent, I'm asking a lot of Republicans - to come together in this campaign to support your candidacy which I endorse."
Sanders also tweeted, "We must come together to defeat the most dangerous president in modern history."
