NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD took into custody Tuesday afternoon a man who attemped to set himself on fire near the World Trade Center.
In an apparent related tweet, the NYPD tweeted that its bomb squad was investigating a "suspicious package" in the same area, near West and Vessey Streets around 4:30 p.m.
Less than one hour later, the bomb squad gave the all-clear.
According to one report, the man doused himself in gasoline, and the bomb squad was going to check his belongings.
