NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A one-year-old boy was fatally struck in Brooklyn Sunday night, becoming the latest victim of gun violence in the city.
The gunfire erupted around 11:35 p.m., during a family cookout outside of Raymond Bush Park in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Police said two men dressed in all black opened fire on the group and then ran away through the park.
The baby was shot in the stomach and rushed to Maimonides Medical Center where he died, officials said. He was later identified as Davell Gardner of Brownsville.
Three other family members who were enjoying the barbeque were also struck.
Officials said a 27-year-old man was shot in the ankle, a 35-year-old man was shot in the groin, and a 36-year-old man was shot in the leg. All three men are expected to survive.
No arrests were immediately made. An investigation remains ongoing.
