NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Bronx couple faces a slew of charges for attacking a 17-year-old worker earlier this month at Pennsylvania's Sesame Place theme park after the teen asked one of them to wear a mask.
Middletown Township police said Wednesday morning that Troy McCoy, 39, and Shakerra Bonds, 31, face assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, as well as other charges in the Aug. 9 incident.
McCoy was arrested around 6 a.m. by the U.S. Marshal Service Regional Fugitive Task Force, but not after attempting to resist being arrested. He barricaded himself inside but officers busted through and used a Taser to subdue him, police said. He is currently in New York City and is expected to be extradited to Bucks County to face charges.
Bonds, who reportedly lives with McCoy, is expected to surrender to Middletown Township Police. The couple were at Sesame Place, located about 35 miles northeast of Philadelphia, with another adult and four children, police said.
The Sesame Place employee required surgery for a fractured jaw and injuries to his teeth, and he was hospitalized for a week.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for the victim's medical bills. So far it has raised nearly $5,000.
"This traumatic injustice dulled the spirits of a teenager who is so full of love, kindness, and overall radiates sunshine around family and friends," reads the GoFundMe page.
