NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Bronx transgender women is being charged with a hate crime for allegedly pepper-spraying strangers on the street, while yelling "I hate white people."
The first incident happened on East 178th Street in Belmont Friday afternoon.
The woman sprayed and kicked a 55-year-old man, police said.
Police said she the next day she struck again four blocks away, on Crotona Avenue, asking a 24-year-old woman, "Are you white?," and then pepper-spraying her in the face.
She then threatened the woman and her boyfriend with a blade before running off.
None of the victims required medical attention.
Police are also investigating whether the woman attacked seven other people hours before the first Bronx attack.
