Burger King, Netflix's 'Stranger Things' introduce 'Upside Down Whopper'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Burger King has partnered up with Netflix's hit show "Stranger Things" and will be serving an upside-down whopper.

Served on their 1980's era packaging, the fast food chain explained that the burger is just a regular Whopper served with the bottom of the bun on the top of the burger and the top of the bun on the bottom.

The Upside-Down is an alternative universe in "Stranger Things," a show set in the 1980s that centers around the lives of four adolescent boys and their friends. The new season premieres on the streaming service on July 4.The burger will be sold starting June 21 at select restaurants in US cities including New york, Miami, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Restaurants in those cities will also have limited-edition ketchup packets and t-shirts inspired by "Stranger Things."The DoorDash delivery app will also be included in this Burger King promotion.

Beginning Wednesday for a week, if a customers enters the code "STRANGER" they can buy a Whopper meal, which includes a small drink and small fries, for $5 on the app with $0 delivery fees, if the entire order costs more than $10.
