NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A cab driver was shot and injured during an attempted robbery in Brooklyn early Friday morning, police said.
The 62-year-old driver was in his green cab at Bogart and Varet streets in East Williamsburg when he was shot just after midnight, according to police.
The driver was grazed in the neck by a bullet, police said. He was taken to Kings County Hospital.
The suspect, said to be a passenger of the cab, fled on foot after the shooting. It's not known if he got away with any of the driver's belongings.

Detectives from the 90th Precinct are searching for the suspect.
