NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for the gunman who fatally shot a 62-year-old caretaker inside a Brooklyn church Monday.
Edward James was shot once in the back at Glorious Church of God in Stuyvesant Heights on Halsey Street, WABC reported, citing police sources.According to the report, witnesses said the gunman chased James into the church, where he was eventually found shot in the back on the third floor.
James was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.James and the suspect knew each other but the motive is unknown, police said, according to the report.The NYPD is looking for a man in his 30s, between 5'8" and 5'10"
