NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A CBS New York reporter died in a moped accident in Brooklyn on Saturday, the TV station confirmed Sunday.
"Reporter Nina Kapur joined the team in June 2019 and was known for her contagious smile and love for storytelling," the station wrote. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Nina's family. She will be missed."
Kapur, 26, was riding on a Revel moped driven by a 26-year-old man in Greenpoint, Brooklyn around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday when the driver "swerved for an unknown reason," sending both of them onto the road, the New York Post reported.
Kapur was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital, according to the outlet. The driver only suffered minor injuries, the outlet reported.
