HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Gov. Ned Lamont reported two new COVID-19 deaths on Friday as Connecticut's COVID-19 positivity rate rose slightly above 1 percent.
Of the 7,518 COVID-19 tests that came back on Thursday, 87, or 1.2 percent, were positive, Lamont tweeted.
As of Thursday night, 54 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19, up by seven from Wednesday, he said.
A total of 51,519 COVID-19 tests have now come back positive, and 4,460 people have died of complications related to the virus, health department data shows.
