Connecticut reports 8 new COVID-19 deaths, 106 new cases

HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Gov. Ned Lamont reported eight new COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday, bringing Connecticut's death toll to 4,380. 

One hundred and six people tested positive for COVID-19 between Monday evening and Tuesday evening, bringing the state's case total to 47,636, Lamont said Wednesday. 


As of Tuesday evening, 67 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19, up by one from Monday, he said. The state's COVID-19 positivity rate is currently 0.8 percent. 

On Tuesday, Lamont reported one new COVID-19 death and 20 new cases.
