NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 67-year-old New Jersey man died Tuesday after a wall inside a partially constructed building in Queens collapsed and fell on him, the NYPD said.
The victim, a construction worker, was identified as Jose Martins of Warren, New Jersey.
The incident took place around 2:15 p.m. at 190 Beach 67th Street.
Upon arrival, responding officers encountered EMS providing emergency care to Martins, who was unconscious.
He was then transported to St. John's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
