NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- It was broad daylight when a man with a knife committed a brazen home invasion on the Upper West Side.
He forced his way into an apartment around 4 p.m. on West 78th Street near West End Ave.

Cops say the ex-con tied up a man, his wife, and their daughter before taking off with cash and valuables.
"Cops had already came and they were chasing somebody. I wasn't sure what the situation was because they were already in the building," Dave Chadwick told CBS2.
Cops eventually caught up with him and caught the man who was later tasered for trying to assault several officers at the 20th precinct.
The New York Post reports the suspect is a 30-year-old gang member who was on parole for burglary.
