NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A real estate agent who tried to entice New Yorkers to Florida by including a photo of a burning NYPD van in a marketing email has lost his job, according to a report.

South Florida Corcoran Group agent Joseph Swedroe sent an email to prospective buyers that "shows a (NYPD) van engulfed in flames, juxtaposed with images of boating and sandy beaches below," The Real Deal reported

The photo, which was taken during the recent anti-police brutality protests in New York City, appeared under the headline "Chaos or Comfort? Where do You want to Live?" according to the outlet.

The email's subject line read, "Looking for Change?" the outlet reported.

A Corcoran spokesperson told The Real Deal that Swedroe was "swiftly disassociated from our firm" after sending out the email, adding that Corcoran "categorically rejects racist and fear-based rhetoric in any form."

Swedroe, however, maintained the email was "just a marketing piece to get attention."

"If people are going to move, let them come and contact me if they're coming to South Florida," he told the outlet. "It's no secret that New York has been the scene of riots and vandalism and that South Florida is a much quieter and calmer place."
