HARTFORD (1010 WINS) – Connecticut reported nearly 1,000 new positive coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the statewide total to more than 11,500.

Gov. Ned Lamont said there were 972 positive cases since Friday. The state total is now 11,510.
There have been 494 total deaths from the virus in the state, including 46 more since Friday.
Lamont said 1,593 patients have been hospitalized.
More than 39,831 patients have been tested, he said.
The most cases—5,407—were in Fairfield County, where there has been 220 deaths.
New Haven County has reported the second-most cases at 2,715. There have been 107 deaths there.
