NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont on Tuesday reported 27 new COVID-19 deaths and 430 new cases, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 41,303.

A total of 3,769 people in the state have died of coronavirus-related complications, Lamont said during his daily briefing Tuesday.
As of Tuesday, 694 state residents were hospitalized with the virus, down by 12 from Monday. The number of hospitalizations has declined by about 65 percent from mid-April, Lamont noted.
"I think you see a fairly consistent line there," he said.
Connecticut has now tested more than 225,300 people for COVID-19 — or around 6.5 percent of its population, the governor said.
The state plans to release a report with details about its reopening Tuesday evening, he added. Connecticut's first phase of reopenings went into effect on May 20.
