NEW JERSEY (1010 WINS) -- New Jersey's COVID-19 death toll rose to 4,202 on Sunday as the state lost another 132 residents to the virus, Gov. Phil Murphy said.
A total of 85,301 state residents have now tested positive for the novel coronavirus, Murphy wrote on Twitter.
The state received 3,915 new positive COVID-19 test results Sunday, according to Murphy.
On Saturday, the governor said New Jersey was "flattening the curve" as the rate of growth in new cases slowed, despite reporting another 231 COVID-19 deaths.
"This is a credit to each and every one of you who has taken to heart our aggressive social distancing measures and who continues to do your part," Murphy said.
