NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- City Council Speaker Corey Johnson says he's mulling a 2021 mayoral bid.

Johnson was on Twitter Monday morning, to announce that he was considering a 'people-powered' run.

He says he won't take money from real estate developers, lobbyists, or corporate PACs and will cap individual donations at $50.

Johnson was spending his Monday on a five borough transit tour starting in the Bronx where he'll be surveying bus riders as part of his role as Acting Public Advocate.
