NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A house fire claimed the life of an elderly woman in Queens on Wednesday.
Ruth Andrade, 84, was found unresponsive on the first floor of the home located at 166-11 91st Avenue in Jamaica and was pronounced dead on arrival at Queens General Hospital.
An 85-year-old who also lived on the first floor of the multi-tenant building was also seriously injured.
Four other residents suffered minor injuries, and at least 125 firefighters resopnded to the fire.
"Unfortunately, there is some serious structural damage to the building," said Deputy Fire Chief George Healy.
The fire is not believed to be suspicious and the cause is under investigation.
