NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- It's going to wet and windy Friday night in the New York City area, with periods of rain and a thunderstorm or two, according to AccuWeather.
Thunderstorms will bring heavy downpour and gusty winds. According to the National Weather Service, the heavier rain will exit much of the area by 8 p.m to 10 p.m.
Motorists should exercise caution as there may be ponding on roads and flooding in poor drainage area.
Late Friday night, there will be a shower or two and it will turn windy and chilly. The low will be near 50.
On Saturday there will be clouds and some rain with a chilly, gusty wind. The high will be 59.On Sunday it will turn mainly cloudy but still quite cool with some showers during the midday and afternoon and evening. High of 58.
Monday will be partly sunny and cool. The high will be near 60.
