NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Mark Zuckerberg is considering leasing space at a landmark Manhattan post office, according to the New York Post.

Facebook is looking to rent 740,000 square feet of office space being built in the renovated James A Farley Post Office, right across from Madison Square Garden.

The iconic building is due to be reopened in 2020 after being redeveloped by Vornado Realty Trust.

Although there is no deal yet, the negotiation has gone far enough that another competitor for the space, Japanese advertising firm Dentsu has abandoned its pursuit of the fourth floor, sources told the Post.

The block-wide post office is bounded by West 33rd and West 34 streets and Eight and Ninth avenues.

It was built in 1912 and named a landmark in 1966.

After the renovation, the exterior will remain the same but office space will take over floors two through five.

Facebook is also exploring space nearby at Hudson Yards, according to Crain's.
