NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two residents of Florida who tested positive for coronavirus have died, the state's health department confirmed late Friday night.
"@HealthyFla has announced 3 new presumptive positive Florida #COVID19 cases: 2 in Broward County that are isolated and 1 in Lee County that is deceased," the Florida Department of Health tweeted. "A previously-announced case in Santa Rosa County is also deceased. For #COVID19 updates, visit https://FloridaHealth.gov/COVID-19."
Lee County is on the Gulf Coast; Santa Rosa County is near Pensacola.
The Santa Rosa County man, believed to be older than 70 with underlying health conditions, had traveled internationally, Gov. Ron DeSantis said Thursday.
