Allegations against Congressman Eric Swalwell continue to build as a Los Angeles woman came forward on Tuesday to say she was raped by him years ago in West Hollywood.

Lonna Drewes said she met with Swalwell three times back in 2018 for business.

“He offered me connections to further my software company,” she explained.

The third time she and Swalwell met up at a West Hollywood hotel for a political event, he said he had to get some paperwork from his room. Drewes said she believes Swalwell drugged her drink because she only had one glass of wine.

“When I arrived out of his hotel room, I was already incapacitated, and I couldn't move my arms or my body,” she recalled. “He raped me and he choked me, and while he was choking me, I lost consciousness.”

She said she didn't come forward then because of fear of his political power, his legal background, and his family's ties to law enforcement. She also said she has texts, journal entries, photographs, and witness testimony to back up her claims.

Drewes’ attorney, Lisa Bloom, said they will be filing a police report with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.

Bloom had this message for Swalwell: “Stop it. Own your behavior.”
