PLANTATION, FL (1010 WINS) -- A Florida man told police he shot his wife to death at point blank range, because she wouldn't shut up.

Leopoldo de Baere, 73, told police that he and his 47-year-old wife were arguing about her dealings with a former co-worker, and she was speaking to him disrespectfully.
Cops say his legs and boxer shorts were splattered with blood after he shot his wife in the face with a .38-caliber revolver.
Marisa Sherman was pronounced dead at the scene, de Baere is being held without bond.
