Good Samaritans who saved 5-year-old girl from subway honored in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two good Samaritans who saved a 5-year-old girl from underneath a subway car were honored at a ceremony Wednesday morning by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.

Video showed Jairo Torres and Antonyo Love rescuing a 5-year-old girl who had been taken onto the subway tracks at the Kingsbridge Road station by her father on Monday.

The men grabbed her beneath a subway car and pulled her to safety.

Her father, Fernando Balbuena-Flores was killed, but she managed to survive without serious injury.
