NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- After receiving a tip, the NYPD found human skeletal remains in the Arden Heights section of Staten Island Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Police said they responded to a call shortly after noon, and "discovered human skeletal remains of an unidentified person in a wooded area" near Ilyssa Way and Arthur Kill Road.
The remains were found only 30 to 40 yards away from residents' home in a complex called Aspen Knolls Estates.
The NYC Medical Examiner will determine the identity and cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
