One man was shot and another was arrested.
Deontrae Green, 19, was arrested shortly after the shooting. Tyriek Corbin, 20, fled the scene and was later found at Stony Brook University Hospital where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The incident was initially described as an active shooter, but cops say they believe it was actually a gang dispute.
Police say there were about 20 people in the IHOP at the time, including a family with a child in a high chair. None of the customers were injured, but police say a bullet fragment did hit a woman's sweater.
Police are investigating two other shootings that took place hours later in Coram, to see if they are gang related. Three men were shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
