NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Kale haters rejoice! You may be missing out on the vegetable’s potent blend of nutrients and antioxidants, but you’re also not getting pumped with pesticides.

The contentious leafy green is among the veggies most contaminated with pesticides, according to an annual report from the Environmental Working Group.

EWG lists its “Dirty Dozen” annually, and many of the same fruits and veggies return each year (we’re looking at you strawberries).

Kale didn’t even make the list last year, but now it’s the third-dirtiest veggie, just before spinach and the biggest offender, strawberries.
