Knife-wielding man sought after 3 attacks in 30 minutes on the UES [VIDEO]

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  Police are searching for a knife-wielding man accused of three attacks on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on Monday, within a half-hour period. 

Officials say at approximately 10:43 a.m., a man stays he was talking to the driver of a parked vehicle in front of 960 Park Avenue, when the suspect approached them and stated, "I know you are talking about me!"


A verbal dispute ensued and the suspect brandished a knife and chased the victim around the car, before returning to the sidewalk and continuing to walk.

Police say the suspect was last observed walking east bound on East 82 Street, before making left on Park Avenue.

There were no injuries reported.At about 11:03 a.m., authorities say a 21-year-old woman was looking at her phone in front of 45 East 85 Street, when the suspect approached her and slapped her on the side of her head and continued walking.

The woman sustained pain and swelling to her face but refused medical attention.Officials say at 11:13 a.m., the suspect intentionally bumped into a man and woman as they were walking at the southwest corner of East 87 Street and Third Avenue. 

The suspect directed the woman to move causing the man to confront the suspect, at which time, police say he brandished a knife.

Police say an eyewitness took a picture of the suspect with his cell phone, and he began to chase the eyewitness southbound on Third Avenue into traffic, where the suspect stops the chase.

He was last seen walking along East 86 Street towards Third Avenue.

There were no reported injuries in this incident.

Authorities describe the suspect as a 25-year-old man with a dark complexion, approximately 5'6" tall, weighing 115 lbs., with a thin build, a goatee, and short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a three-quarter length camouflage hooded jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.
