69-year-old man beat, robbed of $45 in the Bronx, 2 suspects sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released video on Friday of two men wanted in connection to the violent robbery of a 69-year-old man in the Bronx. 

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Jan. 17, authorities say a 69-year-old man standing on front of a Dollar tree located at 867 Longwood Avenue, was punched the in the face by  a man while a second man took $45 from his left hand.


The suspect that took the victim's money ran across the street and continued eastbound on Longwood Avenue, while the man that punched the victim in the face walked away eastbound on Longwood Avenue, officials say.

The victim suffered bruising and swelling to the face.

Police describe the first suspect as a man in his 30s an was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a red jacket, a black shirt, blue jeans and gray sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a male in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
