NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A deadly stabbing occurred Tuesday night outside of a family shelter in Queens, police say.
The incident occurred on Ditmars Boulevard near LaGuardia Airport at the Landing Family Shelter in East Elmhurst just before 10 p.m.
Upon arriving, police found a 38-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive outside of the shelter with a stab wound to his torso.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officials believe the suspect is a former resident of the shelter who was forced to leave.Police say after a dispute, the attacker came back and stabbed the victim on the street.
