NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on arrested a man on Tuesday for randomly attacking a 92-year-old woman in Manhattan.
After watching the surveillance footage, a police officer recognized the suspect - a 31-year-old man with over 100 prior arrests.He is being questioned at the 13th Precinct near Stuyvesant Town after being was spotted in the 25th Precinct in East Harlem Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on June 12, near Gramercy Park located at 3rd Avenue between 15th and 16th Street.
Officials say the suspect slammed the victim to the ground causing her to strike her head on a fire hydrant.
The woman was transported to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in stable condition.
