James Goydos faces 160 counts including burglary, computer theft, and invasion of privacy over a 2 year period.
Goydos, 58, was a professor at Rutgers/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He's accused of recording at least 26 women and three other people in various states of undress in bathrooms at his workplace. It's also alleged that he broke into coworkers' offices to commit identity theft.
At a hearing in Middlesex County Court on Monday, Assistant Prosecutor Allysa Gambarella and defense attorney Orlando de Campo agreed that more discovery was needed before motions could be filed.
Goydos was put on leave from his $437,500 job with Rutgers in March 2018, when he was arrested for having an unlicensed and unregistered rifle. An indictment in December 2018, revealed the cache of charges against him.
Goydos started working at Rutgers in 1995. He studied medicine at Robert Wood Johnson in the 1980s.
