NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — MTA Inspector General Carolyn Pokorny released reports that show dozens of MTA employees have been disciplined for overtime abuse, conflicts of interest and corruption, dating back to 2017.
One report showed Raymond Murphy, an LIRR foreman, was caught at home 10 times while he was on the clock, collecting overtime pay.
He managed to take home about $280,000 in a year.
Another showed a high-ranking MTA officer, MTA Police Department Assistant Chief Thomas Odessa, using his employee vehicle to get a second job in the funeral business.
A subway signal employee who claimed to need to time off to care for a sick family member instead used the days to get married and take a lavish honeymoon.
Thirty reports in total were released six weeks after Pokorny officially took up her post.
