NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Drivers have two weeks remaining to take advantage of driving on 14th Street between Third Avenue and Ninth Avenue because starting July 1, cars will be banned on the stretch.

Exceptions will be made for pick ups, drop offs, and local garages and the restrictions will be in place from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The MTA will correspondingly launch M14 Select Bus Service at the same time, which will eliminate 16 stops require riders to swipe their MetroCards off board to improve speeds.
