New Jersey reports 5 new COVID-19 deaths, 507 new cases

TRENTON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- New Jersey reported five new COVID-19 deaths and 507 new cases on Thursday, Gov. Phil Murphy said. 

Five of the people who passed away died this month, Murphy said. The new deaths and cases brought the state's death toll to 14,225 and its case total to 195,414, he said. 


As of Thursday, 435 people in the state were hospitalized with confirmed or probable COVID-19 cases, 62 of whom were in intensive care units and 36 of whom were on ventilators, the state's COVID-19 tracker shows.
