NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New Yorkers have spent the last few days stocking up on groceries, surgical masks, hand sanitizer and anything else they think they'll need that will be in short supply if the coronavirus outbreak worsens, leading to empty supermarket shelves and sold-out online retailers.
Same-day delivery services MaxDelivery and FoodKick are sold out of hand sanitizer, for example.
Amazon's same-day grocery service, Prime Now, experienced 24-hours delays this weekend.
And on Monday, the Prime Now app featured a warning banner that read, "Please note that at this time delivery availability may be limited."
At the recently-opened Wegmans in Brooklyn near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, shelves that houses tomato sauce, tuna, tacos shells, pasta and water were empty.
