NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The search is on for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that left a teenage girl dead on Long Island.
The crash happened Saturday night around 9:30 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station, where 17-year old Jenna Perez, of Selden, was crossing Nesconset Highway.
A vehicle headed westbound struck her and never stopped.
Perez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suffolk County police have not yet released a description of that vehicle. They are asking anyone with information to call 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
