Stop & Shop changes store hours in response to coronavirus outbreak

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Stop & Shop is changing its store hours to help combat the spread of coronavirus.

"In order to allow more time for our associates to unload deliveries, stock shelves, and better serve you throughout the day, we are adjusting our hours to 7:30 a.m.-8:00p.m. at most stores beginning Monday, March 16, until further notice.

The supermarket chain said there may be exceptions and to visit your local store location for details. 

Starting March 19, Stop & Shop will be open hours specifically geared to accommodate customers 60 and older, according to a press release.

Stop & Shop stores will open from 6-7:30 a.m. exclusively for customers over the age of 60.
