NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County DA Tim Sini has tested positive for coronavirus.
Sini has not been hospitalized but is quarantined at home and is reportedly still working.
There were 1,880 total cases of coronavirus in Suffolk County, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday. Of those, 427 were new cases.
There were 25,665 total coronavirus cases statewide, Cuomo added.
Nassau County executive Laura Curran announced on Tuesday, that there were over 400 new cases of coronavirus reported overnight, bringing the county total to 2,869 positive cases.
Of those cases there are 70 are hospitalized and 14 patients are critical.
Curran also reported that there are 18 patients at two separate units in the A. Holly Patterson Nursing Home that have tested positive for coronavirus.
There was also another coronavirus related death, bringing the death toll to 10, Curran announced. The latest fatality was an 85-year-old man from Oyster Bay.
