NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A family court judge ruled Thursday that a teen involved in the murder of Barnard student Tessa Majors will not receive bail.
Judge Carol Goldstein ordered the boy, 13, to stay behind bars until his court date on March 16. The teen's aunt and uncle had argued for his release.
The teen was arrested on Dec. 13, and told police that he had been in Morningside Park on the day Majors was murdered, but that he did not kill her, according to NBC New York.
Police believe that three teens were involved in Majors' stabbing on Dec. 11. Majors, 18, was found unconscious in the park with multiple stab wounds.
Another teen, 14, was detained by police after a two week manhunt in late December, but later released.
