NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- More than 75 employees of Hachette Book Group walked off the job at the publisher's Rockefeller Center Headquarters Thursday to protest Woody Allen's book deal.

It was announced earlier this week that the company's "Grand Central Publishing group not only signed Allen, but announced his memoir was coming out April 7.

Titled "Apropos of Nothing," the memoir is described as "a comprehensive account of his life, both personal and professional," that would cover "his relationship with family, friends and the loves of his life," the New York Times reported.

The book caused a firestorm not only with workers, but also with Allen's estranged son, Ronan Farrow, who says he was cutting ties with Hachette which published his best seller "Catch and Kill."

His sister, Dylan Farrow, accused Allen of molesting her when she was a child. He has denied the charges.

"We respect and understand the perspective of our employees who have decided to express their concern over the publication of this book. We will engage our staff in a fuller discussion about this at the earliest opportunity," a Hachette spokeswoman said in an email Thursday evening.
