NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The New Jersey teen whose mother believed her daughter had become a victim of human trafficking, after photos of the 17-year-old apparently popped up on sex-trafficking websites, has been found, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday.
Aviana Weaver of Westampton, N.J., was found safe in Philadelphia Monday, officials said.
"Aviana Weaver has been found safe in Philadelphia by Philly PD," the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office tweeted. "She is in the process of being reunited with her family. Out of respect for Aviana and her family, no further details will be released. Thanks to all who provided."
Weaver's mother, Angelica Scarlett, had said that her daughter had last been seen leaving their home on Sept. 11. The high school student had said she was going to a friend's house but she never returned.
On Sunday, Scarlett told ABC's Philadelphia affiliate, "We've seen photos of her on human trafficking websites, so we do have proof that she is in danger and something bad has happened to her. This is completely out of character for her."
On Saturday, Scarlett posted on Facebook, "The streets can't have my daughter!! I will be there everyday on the street until she is home !!! I won't stop - Share let's get her !!! Someone knows something !! Speak she is a minor and in danger !!"
