NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a city employee Sunday after he opened fire into a vehicle outside his Brooklyn home containing his girlfriend's ex boyfriend and his 8-year-old daughter.

Officials say 46-year-old Bruce Hansley, an NYC parks employee is accused of shooting at the car around 10 p.m. on Feb. 9, outside of 500 Hart Street in the Bushwick section.

Hansley was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment and acting in a manner to injure a child.

At his arraignment Sunday night, prosecutors said Hansley stormed out of the house and crossed the street to confront Wright, firing two shots.

Police recovered a .38-caliber revolver, in the area after Hansley attempted to ditch it, prosecutors added.
