NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released photos and video Friday of suspects wanted for assaults on police officers about two weeks ago, when large protests and unrest gripped the city.
The footage is related to two incidents—both on May 30—when officers were attacked with a brick, bottles and other items as some protests over police misconduct and the death of George Floyd turned violent.

The first incident was at 7:55 p.m. near Saint Marks Avenue and Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.
Police said NYPD officers in a marked patrol car were attacked by a group of people.
Video shows people throwing rocks, bottles, a traffic cone and other items at the vehicle, striking the officers, police said.
The officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at an area hospital.

A couple of hours later, shortly after 10 p.m., police said a man threw a brick at a 35-year-old officer in Greenwich Village, striking his helmet.
The officer was struck outside of 80 University Pl. before the suspect took off down East 11th Street, police said.
The officer was taken to an area hospital with a laceration and swelling to his face.
