NYPD investigating series of possible anti-Semitic crimes in Borough Park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD is investigating a series of potential anti-Semitic hate crimse which took place in Brooklyn Friday night.

The incidents occurred on Nov. 1 in Borough Park, according to police.

First, around 14th Ave. and 51st Street, multiple suspects allegedly jumped out of their car and assaulted man walking by.

They then ran back into their car and drove off.

Next, by the intersection of New Utrecht Ave. and 53rd Street, multiple men appeared to chase another man before assaulting him, surveillance video shows.

Third, nearby on 48th Street, a car almost pins a man walking down the street against parked vehicles, according to captured security footage.

Hate crimes against Jews in New York City have been on the rise in 2019.

The NYPD has counted 311 total hate crimes through the end of September so far this year, more than the 250 in 2018.

The NYPD say 52 percent, 163 have targeted Jews.
