NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD is searching for a suspect who assaulted an MTA bus driver with an umbrella Wednesday afternoon in Queens.
At about 12:10 p.m. at the corner of Van Wyck Epxressway and 101st Ave., an unidentified man demanded that a driver of a Q8 bus move the bus.
After the driver refused, the man then struck the driver in the head and body with a folded umbrella.
The man then fled the bus southbound.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Medical Center in stable condition.
