NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man and woman responsible for slashing the face of a 60-year-old man Wednesday night at a subway station in East Harlem.
The victim was standing on the platform at the station at East 116th Street and Lexington Avenue, when he engaged in a dispute with the female.
The NYPD said in a press release, "The female placed a call on her cell phone, and within a few moments an unknown male individual ran down the stairs, engaged the victim and slashed him on the right side of his face with a cutting instrument, causing a deep laceration from the victim's ear to his chin."
Both individuals fled the station and location in an unknown direction.
The victim remained and was transported by EMS to Saint Luke's Roosevelt hospital, where he was treated and released for his injuries.
The female wanted for questioning is described as a female Black, 20's, approximately 5'6" tall, heavy build, brown eyes, black hair; last seen wearing a military fatigue green jacket, a neon green shirt, black pants and multi-colored shoes.
The male (slasher) wanted for questioning is described as a male Black, 20's, approximately 5'9" tall, slim build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, black pants and white sneakers.
